Reciprocating and Rotatory NiTi Instruments Used for Root Canal Preparation of Primary Teeth: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: To compare the root canal preparation of primary teeth with reciprocating and rotary NiTi instruments. Material Methods: Electronic databases (PubMed/MEDLINE, Web Science, TRIP, Lilacs, Embase, Scopus) were systematically searched until October 2020. In vitro studies comparing cleaning ability, debris extrusion, file deformation, or working time instruments in evaluated. Two reviewers independently selected studies, extracted data, assessed risk bias. Meta-analyses conducted using a random-effects model to calculate pooled mean differences between considering outcomes: (minutes) extrusion (milligrams). Statistical analyses performed RevMan 5.3 at significance level 5%. Results: From 4,417 potentially relevant 10 included systematic review, 8 considered meta-analyses. There was no significant difference [3 data sets; effect size: -0.11 (-0.25-0.04); p=0.15] [6 -0.37 (-0.98-0.24); p=0.24]. The heterogeneity found moderate high. bias low most (50.0% all items across studies). Conclusion: is scientific evidence showing superiority used for teeth.

Objective To evaluate transportation (T) and centering ability (CA) of root canal preparations using continuous or reciprocating nickel-titanium endodontic files. Materials and Methods Ninety-six mesiobuccal root canals of mandibular first and second molars were randomly divided into 6 groups (n=16) according to the rotary file used: 1. ProTaper Next; 2. ProTaper Gold; 3. Mtwo; 4. BioRaCe; 5....
متن کاملRoot canal treatment in primary teeth: a review.
Although preventive measures have reduced caries, premature loss of pulpally involved primary teeth remains a common problem. The resultant mesial drift of the permanent teeth frequently leads to malocclusion. Retention of the pulpally involved primary tooth to preserve arch space is preferable to space maintenance if the tooth can be restored to normal function and is free of pathology. Additi...
